I use the term metamorphosis not as in the pupa to the butterfly, but like Bruce Banner into THE HULK!
Keep an eye on our progress as we will try to keep you updated on each of the modifications to Mr. Red Roc'T in the upcoming installments. The story will start at the begining Friday March 30, 2012 @ approx 7:45pm EST

Day 2: We went to the store for some new shoes.

He was jealous of his brothers shoes and Bling so they swapped. I have always been a fan of the OEM slotted 7s/14 spoke rims. These are the original rims off of Mr. Orange. A wax twice a year keeps'em looking good.

Tough Chick said "man I forgot how weak the factory horn is, replace it ASAP! So, right after the shoe swap we headed to the horn store (Harbor Freight) for a WOLO that was on special (install thread to follow).

IMG-20120331-00066.jpg

We then headed to the auto parts store for some yum-yums (Techtron) and some bodily fluids (synthetic oil). Sorry no pix of that! Then off to the automoblie drink shop (Shell) for his first drink with yum-yums added (gotta keep his fuel system clean). Sorry, no pix of that either.

Day 3 will start with the t-bars, roof rack, lights, horns and maybe something else if we have the time.

Day 3: We started off under the hood due to Mr. Red Roc'T complaing about not being able to breathe properly. Removed his old restrictive intestine looking thingy and his lung filter, AirDoc and new WIX filter on! He likey!!! Yeah, it's really clean under there too!

NOTE: 2008 Alpha has a dark grey engine cover, 2010 Alpha has a black cover.

While under I had his hood open I removed his toophs (grille) and installed the WOLO Dual tone air horn and a FIAMM Low Tone horn. The combo gives him a loud "Nice driving Arse Hole!" or "WTF are you doing in the fast lane!". Fabbed up a simple bracket for the WOLO, removed the stickers, painted the top black and doubled up on the OEM horn mount for the FIAMM. Also swapped out his bulbs with 4 Silver Star Ultras (stolen from Mr. Blue).

Next: Mr. Red Roc'T was compalining again (whiny SOB)! This time it was about his lack of height compared to his Bros. Well a few cranks of his leg lengtheners (T-bar bolts) and he is now @ 22 1/2" for now until the chin guard (BA bumper) is finished and installed.

Note: No rubbing AT ALL before the crank with the 315 MTZs. We will see if it rubs now???

NOTE: I am doing this to stuff in reverse to 2 other rigs! So it is taking me some time to R&R on those also. I think I went a little too low on Mr. Blue (lowrider).

Day 3 Continued: He started whining again but this time he wanted a hat! So we mounted his hat with 6 forward facing Bosch Light (from theBroken). I am trying to source 4 more for the rear if anyone knows where to get them. Hi-Lift and shovel to come later. I can already hear it now, "It's not a GOBI!". Yeah but it cost 15% of what a GOBI costs, it's a one of a kinda and does what we need it to do, haul stuff on the roof and a place to mount lights.

NOTE: I put the OEM OffRoad Roof Lights up there with his hat on and it looked stupid.

Don't mind the left side of the garage filled with HUMMER parts. I also reinsulated the attic over the garage today. That's where I store most of the "spares".

That's all for now! More to come, Sliderz, Kustom BA Bumper, MM Winch, CBUCP, CB, Superchips, etc, etc. :corn:

Nothing wrong with that roof rack... Gobi's are nice, but too me, not worth what they cost... To me that is..if others want to drop that much cheddar on a roof rack tis cool... Not me... Looking good Mutaint.. Doing your new rig justice...

She is looking good, MU! Personally, I like non-Gobi racks. It makes Hummers look more unique and personallized with toppers that you don't see too often.

The air horn is a great and much needed addition.

To each his own - i happen to really like Gobi racks - actually, I like any rack on a HUMMER. They all have a purpose & they all have their pros & cons.

I have 2 of those Bosch lights laying around that I haven't done anything with that I got from theBroken last year. Let me know if you're interested in them.

Nice. Maybe I missed this but why are you taking parts off 'ole Blue?

We will be trying to find new homes for Mr. Blue and Mr. "T". We decided to update our stable to newer models. Stay tuned for more....

How many 3/Ts can one have??? Either way that color is cool. is that a limited edition color, never seen one before

I guess you could have as many as you want. But 2 is our limit. See the above response.
YES, the Red Rock Metallic was only available in 2010 and there where not to many produced. I have seen only 2 others tith that color and they where both H3s.

He is like Dave, but with H3s.

Nah, can't afford to have more than 2 so the others will be finding new homes. Soon I hope! Mr. Blues' replacement will have to wait until both are sold. Then the 2010 H3 Alpha OffRoad hunt begins again or maybe another "T"? I dunno.

I know someone else who has a set of those waiting to be installed but in 35's. Drive to NY and I will mount and balance them for free .

Can't wait to see them installed Mark!
