What did you do with your H3 recently? NEW

    BBYHUMR 06 Re-build

I am very interested in the A pillar pod you come up with. I've had a couple over the years, and a one off sitting on my shelf right now, but none have that clean OEM look.

    Rascole's SAS build

Lookin good Randy. I went with this truss, gives you some protection against tubes spinning, pinion yoke protector, and fits nicely between the leaf springs with lots of room to spare. I also like how its more U shaped at the pinion vs point, but that really just personal preference...

    New H3 owner.

Welcome, Excited to see the build! Quite a few of us have done SAS on the H3. my personal one has been done twice, once via THORparts using a gm dana 44 and the stock rear end, and a second time by me, using a gm dana 60 and 14b. As far as steering going, ive seen a few different boxes used. I...

    Binding when turning

Have you checked the steering rack to see if its slipping in the clamp or mounts for it? Possible its moving and causing the wheel end geometry to be off

    Cgalpha08's build

Finished up the P.S. install. Ended up swapping the high pressure out on the pump to -6an instead of the -8an that it came with. Rest of the system is -6 anyway. Plus the fittings and lines are smaller and the engine bay on these things is tight as is. I did have to move the resevoir to the...

Replace rear axle with a half ton unit?

Im sure you know my vote, 14b haha. That being said, you can put 6 lug hubs on a 14b. Solid axle industries makes them, they do narrow the track width from a regular 14b but I think its real close to the factory h3 width. Speedy brings up a good point, with more power in the future, full float...

Alpha P/Steering Pump 25932020 Discontinued: Alternatives & Fixes

I have a solution. Albeit more extreme than most are willing to take on. I am currently working on replacing my pump setup with an aftermarket bracket, pump, and reservoir. Goatbuilt alternator and ps pump bracket, psc cbr pump and psc remote reservoir. Obviously my needs are a little different...

Here is a comparison of the two brackets. You can see the alternator is in the same location, but the pump is higher up. I also confirmed, you can infact mount the cbr pump on the oem bracket. The pulley spacing is the same between the oem pump and the cbr pump.

    Cgalpha08's build

im almost positive you're right. when i was looking into this years ago, i remember reading a thread on ih8mud where they put a tc or camaro pump on a trailblazer bracket, which looked eerily like ours. IIRC he got it to work with some spacing. i eventually decided i didn't want to mess with...

    Cgalpha08's build

I think the factory gmt900 series pumps probably clear. The oem alpha had a much wider pump/reservoir combo. I dont see any issue with running one of those assuming it fits.

    Cgalpha08's build

So this will allow me to run an aftermarket pump. In this case a psc cbr style pump, but you can also get the spacing for a tc style pump. The oem pump/resevoir combo is discontinued and hard to find good ones these days, so i went looking for a solution. Im sure you can modify the oem bracket...
