I recently got some fan on fan shroud noise when the truck is all twisted up. I figured my body mounts were shot. There are 8 body mounts total, 4 on each side and 2 on each mount, 1 upper 1 lower, so 16 total. I replaced the front 2 (one on each side) upper and lower then the the 2nd one back I could only get the lowers in. I can try with more jacks but if the front ones got rid of the fan to fan shroud noise do I have to replace the rest of them? Will having newer ones up front and older ones in the back be an issue with body flex or cause issues?

From what I saw the fronts were the most worn out the other ones didn't seem as bad.

where did you get the bushings from and did you find a good deal? I need to get a set because I get a lot of clunking over uneven surfaces.

The front takes most of the twisting due to the lack of support. Remember when you needed the come-along to pull your frame rails together to mount the THORparts bumper?

On several trail runs, I have popped the Air Doc from the airbox due to frame twisting in the front. Never hit the shroud since I did the body lift and have the lower section removed. Also, your tolerances are different since you now have a V-8 up front. More weight to throw around.

The bushings are oem replacements and I assume it's a good deal since it was from Zach lol

That is correct. I replaced the fronts and will see if it did the trick. The rear ones seemed to be ok and that makes sense since they have a ton of crossmembers to minimize twisting.

The fronts were not in the best shape, one was torn up pretty good. 150k is a good life for them and this time I have a crossmember I built up front with the THOR parts bumper in front of the crossmember there should be minimal amounts of movement now...I didn't have fan shroud contact until recently so this should fix it.

On a side note anyone SASing a truck should plate the frame and steering box area AND build a crossmember up front as well because the stock bumper is thin sheet metal allowing movement.

I will post back with the results!

I do not, I threw the bags in the garbage. They are different part #s depending on the mount. Let me see if I can dig em up. If not Zach can chime in when he gets back from the Cayman Islands...lucky bastard
