My 2006 H2 steering became super hard to turn and brakes started to fade. No loss of fluid or other leaks. Steering returns with RPM at about 2000. What the heck?:emb:
sounds like the steering pump may be failing , that's if fluid levels are good and no obvious leaks from hoses or the steering rack ... i dont know a lot about h2's . if they have an electrical boost for brakes or steering like in a h3 it could be something along those lines . wait till Zach or some of the other h2 guys see this . they will be more help to you .
Hydroboost braking system - it's normal when hitting brakes hard and trying to turn at same time. If it's doing it frequently, you may have an issue as Neo pointed out
Check out the PSC website, just google it. They can offer an upgraded power steering pump that should solve those stupid power steering issues. Mine is not too far away from getting the upgraded pump, getting tired of Armstrong steering this damn thing.
I had this problem a few years back in ny 05. At extremely slow movement and using brakes, streering wheel would just stop turning or jerk. Brakes would also feel low. Turned out to be low pressure from the steering pump that dealer replaced under warranty.
Mine acts the same way at slower speeds. It can be a pita when on the trail aired down. It does not want to turn, although I am running 37's. That is part if it. I tried contacting PSC, talked with a guy and said the pump wouldn't help me and tried to sell me the ram assist system. Not what I want and pricey
