I like the fender flares. Any issues fitting them up?
Heh.
Yeah, Kirby 7, lots.
1) Too expensive.
2) No instructions. (OK, fine—I would’ve thrown instructions away, but, still…)
3) Too expensive.
4) Allen screws made no sense as fasteners.
5) Ridiculously flimsy gasket material included for running between the flare and fende.
6) Too expensive.
7) The contour demonstrated that they were, in fact, intended for the H3, but they weren’t quite bent enough to lie flush with the body naturally. I heated them to bend them a bit more.
8) Not an “issue,” really, but I thing I received nine (9) pieces. I have no clue where the extra ones go. There are updated photos by the seller online, and they still show too many pieces.
I was throwing so much gravel and salt and dirt (New England) that I just wanted something to cut down on that potential damage to the whole side of the vehicle from the front (wide) Nitto tires.
I ended up screwing the flares directly up into the fiberglas fenders with coarse thread tec screws, figuring the holes wouldn’t show if I ended up removing them. I was apparently SUPPOSED to screw the dumb Allen screw through those goofy flat faces in the flares—I don’t know how I would get nuts on the other side, however…
