H3 __________Headliner Rattle Issue__________

:huh:Hey guys I have an issue that I hope someone can help me out with. I have a 2008 Base H3 and since day one I have had issues with a rattle coming from right behind the driver's seat by the dome light. It gets worse when I open the sunroof and drive 35+ MPH. It is quite annoying and so far the only thing that fixes the rattle is reaching up with my right arm and pushing up on the headliner, just in front of the dome light. I have taken the H3 to my dealer at least ten times about this issue and they have replaced my sunroof twice and done some other things to try to resolve the problem but nothing they have done has solved the issue.

I believe it is larger than a wire harness making this sound. I'm wondering if it's the sunroof shade bouncing around somehow?

haha I have the exact same year/model as you and a similar problem. What I have found to work is just open the sunroof about 3/4 of the way as this eliminates (most of) the noise. Hope it helps or to hear your fix.

I believe it is a component of the sunroof. It only happens to me when my sunroof shade is not fully closed. I haven't really looked into it.

I'm considering taking out the sunroof shade to see if this solves the problem. I have the shade open all the time anyway so I don't think I would miss it.

I had this rattling. Dealer put some kind of insulator in my sunroof. Stopped the noise completely.
