alpha bulldog winches - are they any good?

I've been looking at getting a winch, and it's between a T-max and this winch:

Has anyone ever heard anything about them? It's not a well known company, either that or I just don't know a ton about winches. I like it because it's black and it says "alpha," which is stupid, I know, but I won't buy it if it's not a good winch. Here's a comparison that rates it favorably, but it's also biased heavily towards warn winches, which don't seem to be as good as the comparison makes them out to be.

here's the T-max I'm looking at - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0026JAK5S...UTF8&colid=FEZ5KX1IBIGP&coliid=I1T32Y8XTXS6WN

the price has dropped a bit, but it's still pretty pricey. Also, the bulldog winch is listed for $1400 (!!!) which is way more than I would pay, considering there are winches that are just as good for a lot cheaper, but I've found it other places for a lot less.

That comparison shows WARN best overall. VR10K is ~$600. I have them on most of my tracks, if you only using them ones in a while then get that one.

I saw that warm was rated the best, but a lot of it came from the first comparison which seemed separate from the actual performance of the winch. It seemed to me that Tmax should have gotten first place. Warn edged them out with better packaging and instructions. That stuff is important, sure, but enough to edge out a mechanically superior winch? I'm skeptical. I mean, they put it in the water tank and a bunch of internal lubricant leaked out all over the place. That seems very bad to me. I also liked that the Tmax winch shut off when they overloaded it instead of blowing up.

Well I can't speak about all of them. I had MM and it seed to have an issue with wiring in control box after couple of years. After that i only use Warn 8,10,12,15K winches, newer had any issues except GMC 15K start having intermediate issue with one of solenoids. But that winch has been through 2 Ultimate Adventures and i guess about 8 years of other stuff.
