Auburn Max Lock Locker

Has anyone used an Auburn max lock locker for the rear? As a budget option i suppose. Also out of curiosity, what air lockers in today's market are recommended? I've been looking at OX.

Seen mixed reviews about the OX lockers. I was considering them but went with ARB instead since they've been pretty well proven. But the OX has some nice looking features being a mechanically actuated locker.

Any reason you went with their max lock instead of a Detroit Torsen carrier?

Yes. The Detroit is on 100% of the time. In tight turns it bound up the axles and caused the splines on the half shafts to wear down quicker.

Would you recommend the Max Lock in an H3 8.6 rear? How was noise and city/highway handling with them? If you reference the H1, I only have experience in Uparmored and base humvee lol.

My HMMWV s too loud to notice. With a solid rear axle it might not be too bad as a rear locker on an H3. It chewed up H1 halfshafts in the rear and made annoying clicking noises in turns. Did not notice any difference at highway speed.
