Broken windshield

Another typical western pa winter, salt truck passed me in the opposite direction doing about 50 mph while spreading and cracked my windshield. Has anyone ever had issues having one on a H3 replaced?

I think it's pretty straight forward unless you have the roof markers or lights.

I assume you, or someone you know works for Safelite, so please don't take this personally....my Safelite sucks. I had a windshield replaced on a Camaro and they cut the A pillar trim and put not one, but two 6 inch scratches on the roof. To their credit, they paid for all repairs and made right. I didn't learn my lesson and tried a second time on a Monte Carlo. They lost the moulding clips, so just they just urethaned all the trim directly to the glass. Found this out only after a subsequent replacement where I had to buy new trim to fix their error which they tried to hide.

I'm not sure if Safelite's are franchise or not. Like any chain, their will be good and bad shops. Fortunately you won't have to worry about getting stuck by the same one I did. They went out of business.

I had good luck with Safelite in CA and horrible luck in AZ as they damaged my interior working on side glass. Since then I just asked my insurance for a recommendation and have used Reliable Auto Glass. Not sure if they are AZ only

Sorry for the bad experiences some have had with Safelite...I only had the one with my H3 and it went flawlessly..guess I was lucky this time.

Ifyou have roof marker or offroad lights that have to be removed. Make sure they use a torque wrench when putting them back on.

Thanks for the input luckily I haven't got roof lights yet so I don't have to worry about that, and PRC damn! Those retreads are nasty, I broke one like that 2 years ago in a work truck once again a snow plow coming the opposite direction hit an ice block and it came up smashed out the windshield and broke the wiper arms off. The only good part about that was it was a company truck so I didn't have to pay for it haha
