Wow, Uncle Samta Clause was good to me this year. Over the last few days the presents came rolling in.
1. OEM Sliders - Wheeled and dealed with a eBayer for $275.

2. UCP - Kinda surprised how heavy they are.

3. LED lights - I was searching for rock lights and came across Aliexpress.com, they had stud mounted 3 watt LEDs. They fit perfect in the plastic tab covers on the rear quarter panels. Also added one on the metal tab on the hitch receiver. Will add more to under carriage when I have time to crack a cold one lay down and just stare.

4. Back up camera - Finally added the back up camera to the Pioneer stereo. Mounted it to the center of the hitch cover, never use the hitch so it is here for now.

5. ECM tune from PCM of NC - Got the OK from the boss to send the ECM to PCM of NC this weekend for the tune and Passlock bypass.

I do have to give props to Schwarttzy, I was wanting a set of his sliders but my wife was killing me on the price. I know I bugged him a lot with emails but he is very helpful. Thanks Schwarttzy, keep the ideas rolling.

I will update when the ECM gets back, I can't wait.

How much do the oem sliders stick out? Do you think its possible to add a spacer plate between the mounting brackets and the frame to stick it out far enough for it to be used as a high step?

The sliders only stick out @ 1/2"-1" not much at all. So for right now this is a benefit for me. The H3 is my daughter's daily driver for school and she hated the stock nerf bars. She kept getting rub marks on legs and clothes and did not like using the step, besides she liked the look better without. Now it is a perfect compromise, it doesn't stick out enough to rub but the added protection is better than nothing. In a couple of years when she is on her own I get to keep my toy and make the changes I want.

Just sent the ECM out to PCM of NC today. Daughter is not too happy about not having a car for a week but hopefully it will be worth it. Removing the ECM was not as bad as I thought but it would have been nice to have smaller hands. I may remove the overflow container before the install.

20130501_183807.jpgChristmas in May.
1. ECM is on its way back from PCM of NC - should install this weekend.
2. Changed the spark plugs with new ACDelco - Found the old plugs to be at 58-60 gap between all 5. New ones I set at 42.
3. Replaced serpentine belt - old one is now the spare.
4. Cleaned the throttle body - wow was it dirty.
5. Changed out some of brake and power steering fluids.
6. Cleaned up the engine compartment - needed it bad.
Now, just need to take it out for some fun. Hope to back to Big Bear in a couple of weeks.

Well, after a longer than expected delivery, the ECM has been re-installed. I have only driven it a few miles to make sure it runs. I have a weekend trip to San Diego and we are taking the H3, so I will be able to get some good information regarding MPG and performance.
