Firewall fitting. Part 2.

So after spending some time on my back under the dash looking for the ideal location to drill away. I'm pretty anal when it comes to poking holes in the wrong place.
Found that the sound proofing already pre-cut for where the clutch plate would mount to next to the hood release cable. Perfect spot I hope. I plan on using cord grip fittings for the firewall for the best seal. Use them all the time at work and they are great.
But then I found these. 7 spare wires wrapped in tape 5-12 gauge 2-20 gauge. Checked for power and they were all dead even with the engine running. Wires wrapped up high behind the dash and from there I couldn't feel were they went. Anyone know what these are for?
I will post more this weekend along with another project. (cross member)

The wires are for the lights that go in that little removable lower grill as an option. Somehow out of everything, those got pre-wired for quick dealer install. If you look on the engine side of the firewall you'll find the other end hanging out and doing nothing as well.

LOL, thats what I get for posting after a few Sam Adams and well past my bedtime.
Should have said: I will measure 20 times before I cut, if I still screw up, I'm the type to yell at myself in front of a wall.

..and by the way, these wires ARE NOT for the grill lights or roof lights. I should know, I already have those wired up. The wires you are talking about are in picture #5 to the right. Last night I looked some more and I believe they go straight to the BCM.

Get place to run wires . . . unless you are like me and actually have a clutch pedal in the way.

How are the grill lights wired? Did you wire them, or were they done when you got the truck? I've got a terrible memory and have been proven wrong too many times on here to count, but this one I'm pretty sure about. I'd found the wires in my 3 about the same time found a post explaining that's what they were for.
Maybe yours got wired using a custom harness?

No, I installed them myself. The blunt cut orange, brown, white, & green wires are the ones for OEM lights.
