How have you guys been touching up your front bumper? I'm talking about the black piece above the skid plate that surrounds the tow hooks. I got mine scuffed up off roading a while back and now the scuff is beginning to rust.

When we had ours on I pulled off the tow hooks and red scuff padded it and got a can of the dupli-color bed liner in the spray can and sprayed it. made it look brand new

Mine was worse, between rock chips and road salt it was a bubbling rusty mess. I had both the front and rear's sand blasted to bare metal and wrapped in Rhino line.

Before and after respectively. Including the chrome grill (which was also blasted and wrapped in Rhino) it was $500 out the door. I would've gone with Line-x but the only dealer in town wasn't very cooperative with 'custom' work like this, nor could he offer in house sand blasting like the Rhino dealer could.

Damn! It looks good, but the texture is too rough for me. $500 is also pretty steep.

05Mudiak, is it called Duplicolor Bed Armor?

The texture is actually less-rough than the spray on bedliners. Rhino liners angle is that is is softer and less rough than others, which would cause items to grip and stick instead of slide around in the bed.

Considering it carriers a lifetime guarantee (free repairs/touch ups), and considering the cost of a new bumper and the total cost of the truck, $500 is fair, IMO. I'm a person who likes a good warranty though..

Fair enough. If you have a problem, take it back. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of warranties anymore. Every time I have an issue the answer is "it's made like that" or "we can't seem to replicate the issue."

Anyways, looking into spray cans of bumper touch ups. Has anyone looked at Rustoleum Trim & Bumper? Looks decent and you don't get the bedliner texture to it.

If you want smooth just sand it and spray paint it. I went for durability and still cheap a can of the duplicolor bed liner is $10.'ish if I remember right.

Power coating will probably be under $100 depending on the shops in your area but it will scratch and chip so then your in the same boat.
