GVWR Question

Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out what the official AM General/GM GVWR is. I've scoured google, but can only come up with answers from car review sites and the like. Every number I've found seems to be different, I'm not sure if that's between open tops, wagons, etc. Regardless, I'm specifically curious about the Wagon or a 4 Door Hardtop with the bed and model years 1996 and up (although probably not the Alpha lol). In the select counties of Virginia that require emissions, diesels are exempt if the manufacturer GVWR is more than 8,500 lbs. on those specific body styles. I'd really like to know whether I can expect to be exempt or not. Does anyone have any info, a title, or some other paper work they can look at that might list the official government recognized GVWR? Thanks in advance for any help

Ive only seen actual civilian H1s that had 10,300 gvwr. I know the military Humvee have a large range depending on chassis build. The one that I am unsure about is the 1992-1994 models as that was early in civilian production. My friends 1995 was 10,300 for sure

It varies from year and model, generally the early light HMMWV's were 8500 lbs or so, all Commercial Hummers are at a minimum, 10,300 with a few special order 12k models [fleet/plow/fire trucks]. The Alpha [2006] was a 12k vehicle. Commercial Hummers were designated K10/K12 series and were 10k and 12k respectively.

Current spec HMMWV chassis from AM General [13 series] ranges from 10k to 15.5k. The 15.5k I assume is to restore cargo capacity to armored units.
