I want to add on the 2006 model mirrors to my H2, I don't like the mirror like chrome front of them and prefer the ones with the black trim and little bit of chrome. is it possible to simply put them on mine. I have a 2003.

As far as I know the mirrors are easy to change out, but they will be hard to find and expensive. I opted to remove the chrome from my mirrors and then used a bedliner spray on them. Remove the chrome part from the mirrors, its held on with a few clips and some double stick tape and then follow the directions in this thread carefully. To remove the chrome pieces, you may need to use a heat gun or hair drier to soften up the tape, take your time and work your way around the chrome piece to loosen the small plastic tabs that hold it on.

I would look into Big2dabanks idea I have an 04 with the later model mirrors but i was lucky one of mine got broken at the dealer so when they went to order them they could no longer get the old style so gosh darn they had to get both. Now at that time they where 900 bucks a piece too. I do like the looks but not the expense of those things.

The 03 mirrors had some issues and GM replaced some under warranty with the later model mirrors so the swap is doable.

I believe it all depends on what wiring harness you have in there. Some are plug and go and some need adapter harnesses. Don't quote me but I remember reading threads about swapping them a while back.
