Well, we went to a family dinner last night in LaSalle with our 3 trucks and got a beautiful message from the residence there. At least mom and my wife got their first love from the haters...It just amazed me that the person took the time to type it, print it and brave enough to put it on each of the 3 windshield without being caught by ME. Lucky SOB...hahahahaha!

It's only after I got my motorcycle did things in life make more sense. A coworker was bitching because I was taking up a parking spot with my bike. Up until then I'd been driving my HUMMER to work.
Think about it, what's the difference?

If ignorance is bliss the people who wrote that note must be living bliss filled lives....

If you have ever had to deal with overflow parking on your residential street due to bars, restaurants and such,
you might understand their frustration. However, there are better ways to address the issue than leaving nasty
notes. I suspect, they have a ****ing pre-written form of sort on the computer, into which they simply insert the
make/model of said POS vehicles. We were having issues like that here in my hood after a new Ice House opened
up a few blocks over. They had inadequate parking for the crowds of folks patronizing the joint and some of the
unlucky people who lived in condos, with nothing but street parking available to them, would have to circle the block
for an hour waiting on a spot to open up or park a half mile away.

They need to be on the restaurant’s and city’s ass about it, not you (as long as there were not any “No Parking” or "Redidential Parking Only" signs posted.

Zoning typically requires a minimum number of parking spaces per 1000 SF of commercial space. 5/1000 sf is common. East to fit a lot more people than that in 1000 sf of bar or restaurant.

It is funny how people are biased towards Hummers and not other big trucks, even to this day. Take this tard for instance:

Nobody hounded him like they do to me when I am "close" to the line. Fortunately, I am good friends with the owner of the blacl Honda. who thought what I did was funny!

I don't know where all you guys live, but I count my blessings that I don't. I'd hate to deal with that kind of crap. Living in Backwoods, Redneckville, USA has it's perks.

What if that piece a paper sat on your truck un noticed, fell off from wind or weather and was swallowed by some poor animal. Damn litter bugs always messing up the environment, he should be fined for littering. The nerve of some people, putting a piece of trash under your wipers. :)

I honestly never understood the Hummer hatred. It's not like these nutters go after full size trucks, Suburbans, or even lifted Jeeps/Toyotas that can get just as bad or worse MPG. I get a computer calculated 12mpg average in my H2, sometimes a bit more if I drive easy and keep it under 70 on the highway. After lifting and putting 32" mud tires on my Cherokee it was essentially the same. The H2 might be the widest SUV by a couple inches (ignoring the H1 and other uncommon vehicles of course), but other full size SUVs are bigger overall and full size crew cab trucks are even bigger.

On the other hand, now that I'm in Oregon I've had family borrow my 2 a couple times. My father and step-mom have a rv trailer and a boat and only 1 tow vehicle. Step-sis borrowed it to tow the boat when her and her mom took all the kids camping. Last weekend my father took the H2 to tow the boat while step-mother towed the rv with their truck. While there my father took a couple other people and their golf clubs to a golf tournament about an hour from where they were camping. As you could probably guess, a lot of "I love it" and "I can't believe how easy it is to drive" and "it's so nice and comfortable" comments.

Guess which type of comments I care more about?

No one ever complains about land rovers, and those have always gotten awful mileage. I heard one hippie type say "at least people take them off road" in an interview somewhere. I wanted to punch him. At least hummers don't need everything replaced every year or 2 years. It's the connection to the military that really ticks people off, not some environmental concern. It's just another liberal emotional reaction instead of a reasonable one.

Comes with the territory I suppose. A few months ago I was under the hood of my H3 in my front yard when some douche in a new Toyota appliance said "Expensive piece of ****!" as they drove by. They got balls when you're not around or are able to escape right away, but never the guts to tell it to your face.
