Anyone actually use these or ever install them? I have a customer with an H2 that is wanting the IFS rebuilt using these? Thanks!

I went to Dmax's site & they aren't listed anymore. Even a google search that finds the URL ends up at a dead end on the site.
Either Dmax stopped making them or they are changing the design. The fact that you still had to press the ball joint in was a pita. The UCAs used the bolt on design & it was a pleasure to work with when replacing bad balljoints.

Even if your client wants you to chase them down, find out why he wants them. The stock design will not fail. If the LCAs fail (break or even just bend), a lot more of the vehicle will be destroyed. I believe they are arguably one of the strongest parts of the vehicle, period, even in stock form.

For the $900 Dmax Store was asking, he can get adjustable shocks or a ton of other goodies, or just pocket the money.

I agree. I never saw the benefit of the built lowers, I have replaced 4 uppers arms in 10 years, and only 1 lower ball joint. The ball joint itself, ball joint travel and serviceability of the ball joint are the most important, the lower arm itself is not that big of an issue. There was something I saw years ago that converted the lower arm into a rebuildable uniball joint, but for the life of me I can't remember where I saw it.

With him sticking to 35" tires and mainly driving this as a daily driver I think his wanting of the lower control arms is for show only. Not sure what he will end up doing but if removing them is as bad as the H3's then I really don't want to have to haha.

Ironically, he nor anyone else will ever see them, unless they climb under the vehicle. Hell, I don't even see my UCAs unless I'm working on my H2 & the wheel is removed.

Big2badank, I'd eventually "upgrade" my LCAs if the ball joint was more easily serviceable compared to the stock LCAs. Any idea of where you came across it or what brand?

I believe this was it but it may have been limited to the 1500 not the 2500 HD and I am not sure if they even make this any more, but you can see the uniball bracket in this kit for the lower arm. I still believe its simpler and less headache to just go ahead and buy the Napa or Moog severe duty lower ball joints and just press them into the stock lowers.

They also had this kit with the uniball lowers, but its pricey an may also be limited to the 1500 series chassis.
