Not to get hopes up but I have some info your you H2 guys....any who wants a solid axle done I think it can be done at a cheaper cost then the dynatrac axle route.

Ran into a solid axle late model Chevy pick up...spoke to the owner and he said dodge axles work with electronics

Keep rear axle, keep stock t case, then buy an 03+ dodge front D60 axle, modify pigtails on electronic harness so they plug into dodge pigtail then the sensors in them already work for these late model GM trucks. Which should work for you H2 guys seeing they have the same front diff half shafts and hubs...

I have yet to see a real wheel able solid axle H2. Only way jacked up ones...serges should be the first but an alternative like this should give you the cheaper "4speedfunk low buck swap"

Also if you pick an older D60 it should also work because they sell kits to make the abs/traction control work.

Interesting Hans - thanks for sharing.

The t-case in an H2 is different from any other GM vehicle made so I'm not sure if that would affect anything (since you mentioned keeping the factory case).

Is it 2003+ or 2003-<some year>? i.e. will anything 2003 and newer work (including current gen)?

Hans? Im not Hans! lol

T case wouldnt matter as long as it is driver drop. Dodge axle is driver drop and isnt the H2, chevy 2500, etc. all driver drop?

Year from what I understand is 03+...I am going to do more research on it now.

I thought ABS sensors are different from dodge. Dodge sensors(jeep) have much weaker magnets so ABS doesn't work with GM electronics. That is why dynatrack had to completely redesign my 80 so e-brake and ABS works.

hey, I know this is a long-dead thread, but I've been doing some research on these axles. Dodge has been using AAM axles since 2003. This axle isn't a D60, it's an AAM 925, basically the solid axle equivalent of the H2's IFS 925 and the strength equivalent of a D60. It's not widely used, which is odd because it should work with GM's electronics.

I'm wondering how well this axle will work in an H3. If I had an H2, I'd be at the junk yard right now picking one up.
