Moab Black Sheep-October 2012 pics, video recap

Backcountryislife and I did a quick run on Hell's Revenge today. We moved quickly, finishing it in 2:50 with our only real slowdown with some Range Rover's ahead of us afraid to drop down a 2' stepped descent. Took them 10+ minutes to do what we did in about 30 seconds.

First, I'm happy to report that backcountryislife did not break his steering in his new JKU!

He didn't disconnect as the tires were hitting the fenders

Today a few of us did the Sunday warm up run up to Polar Mesa, though we only made it about halfway due to one truck failing to complete its mission

And my truck decided it needed its own vacation. The transmission failed spectacularly about 10 miles into this trail. No forward, reverse or park functions though it did coast downhill nicely. Apparently I guess I was correct when I told the transmission shop that something was wrong, regardless of them giving my truck a clean bill of health.
