I took my son to Moab last week. Broke in our new Gladiator (Rubicon). While impressive for a stock vehicle, it doesn't stand up to the H3 (yet). The departure angle sucks, and without a lift I'm dragging the belly over all sorts of things. But used every bit of sliders on it, and loved the front and rear lockers. Was nice to break it in while it's still stock though! Loved throwing all our camping gear in the truck bed.
We rode Hells Revenge (no obstacles) and Poison Spider. Hells was cake, but DANG it was crowded on a Friday. Then we rode Poison Spider, and that was fantastic but had a lot of spots the Gladiator struggled on (where my H3 would cruise right up it). Also spent some great time at Arches, hiked out to Delicate Arch for the first time-- that was fantastic and I'd recommend it.
We camped at Bride's Canyon. There are 5 caming sites there, first-come basis, about 40 minutes drive from Moab, up near Gemini Bridges. If you use Google Maps "Bride's Canyon" is easy to find.
Loved camping here! Will only share this spot with my h4o fam, it was so nice!!!!
Joined this group on Poison Spider, helped spot up that nasty incline past Waterfall (where my truck didn't QUITE have enough clearance!) Reminded me of our group.
