Hi All,
My 10 year old H3, has extremely mushy brakes. Initially I thought the pads were worn out, and they were, I changed all pads, with good quality ones. And checked the brake fluid level.
And now the car stops... compared to barely stopping before
But the brakes are still very "mushy", especially the initial travel of the pedal! And this is very annoying especially in stop/start traffic. I know it's a heavy car, but I drove a 2015 Grand Cherokee lately, and compared to my hummer it felt like it had sport car brakes.
Is there anything to do about this? Or is that how the H3 is? It's not a fast car anyway.
Would changing the brake lines help? Master Cylinder? Some online links talk about air in the lines...
Regards,
Omar
