Love my 06 H3 but need help now. Lost my 35 year husband Feb 2022 and now I'm trying to keep going. It was easier when I only had to "fix" now the diagnosis is on my plate. What I wouldn't do for that "ear" to bend and listen with that "brain" to pick aa he would know straight away what was going on.
So I am here now and you all seem to have a handle on this love/hate relationship we have with our H3's.
My 06 has a constant "clicking" sound when I accelerate, decelerate or coast. Does not do it when I've got it up on jack stands.
Have changed u joint in the front drive shaft, then the front drive shaft as I thought it was the cv.
Changed the cv axels L&R now im looking at the upper and lower ball joints, tie rods and the sway bar linkages. No movements up/down or side to side when I have up on jacks. Any ideas? Appreciate all helpful comments. Thanks

I know this sounds a little simplistic, but have you checked to see if there is anything in the tire? I have had rocks stuck in the tread, and while they generally fling out pretty quick at highway speed, I've also had them stay lodged for a surprisingly long time. I even had a bolt puncture a tire once, and it took almost a week to noticably go down. Made the clicking sound just as you describe. Hope you get it sorted out. I'm sorry for your loss.

Rock behind the center cap on the wheels? On H1s the aluminum wheels flex a little and have been known to cause a clicking sound.

Hi everyone, I am from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I am one of the rare individuals here that owned a Hummer (photo attached). I have a 2007 H3 with about 143k on the odometer. Bought it 2nd hand 2 years ago.

I drive the H3 almost daily and frequently drove it to my project site about 200 kms (one way). About 2.5 km of off-road (dirt road) to get to my project site.

2 months ago, a creaking sound can be heard when I step into the H3 and when I drove off-road. Couldn't find the source of the creaking sound on my own and decided to go to a mechanic. He took his stethoscope and while I shook the H3, he checked all the possibilities underneath and immediately found the problem. The right hand side Upper Arm rubber bushing was worn out. I got both sides replaced. Problem solved. Decided also for him to change all 4 shocks.

Hope the explanation helps and sorry for your loss.

Yes and that was my first thought. Took the centre cap off all wheels to make sure nothing was riding around in one of those too.
I think I have found the issue.
Had someone come for a ride with me so.they could listen out the passenger side. Sound is coming from.tje back wheel. Found uneven brake wear so I ordered new rotors and brakes. Also e brake was seized on passenger rear.
Not taking it completely apart until I go pick up my new parts next week.

Glad you found the problem. Good to also know the source of the problem.
