Maybe next Moab trip Mike can teach us the "tecnique" to wheeling a tt4 truck. I know of a friend who has a 2002, but his tt4 dosent seem to work on the 3 rollers and 1 wheel on pavement thing. You can feel it wanting to gently rocking back and forth, but dosent ever engage, hence why he has lockers

There's no substitute for actual locking diffs. I know I'm going to miss having a front locker - my new-to-me D60 doesn't have one...yet. Luckily, the 14b has a factory locker in it that will get me by until I can cough up for an ARB.

I feel H1s can get away without lockers but my H3 had a night and day difference since adding a locker

BTMing has worked well for me. They few times I took the Alpha OT to Moab the lockers made everything really easy. The lockers give you slightly more control but then you can decide you need to BTM at any point in an obstacle and do it.

BTM seems to be a lot more in effective though on the earlier trucks with full BTMing abilities. But TT4 does have its advantages IMO in snow, sand, anything you can't really go slow on.

Well I can add lower ball joints & another dealer I won't be going back to again on the list. Hopefully they did a better job on the transmission than the stuff I could see & hear. Apparently it only squeaks when I'm around so they needed me there to push on the bumper one time so they could hear it. 10 minutes later they come back out & say it needs ball joints after having it for a week. They were also very proud they noticed the place in Atlanta put the UCP on wrong (one side was above & one under the factory skid plate) would have been ok if they hadn't done worse job on it, they put the back piece under the front with all mismatched bolts. I walk out mumbling and didn't even make it out of the parking when he calls me to see if I want them to order the ball joints, "uh no I think I'll try somewhere else or do them myself" but it's under warranty, click.
