there is a pip from gm for valve seat wear from 2006-2010 on the 3.5 and 3.7 that may require a cylinder head!.

Yeah a lot of people live with it, but that can cause further issues! If the valve is not seating to the valve seat correctly it cannot dissipate heat back into the head and can cause the valve to burn. Mine is under 5/100 and being done free. The head itself is over 1000.00 from gm. Not cheap that is for sure!
