what about a nice wrist rocket? You can use almost anything lying on the ground as ammo when you run out of ball bearings and marbles?
Part of doing this online is also getting alternate choices. Both for myself and anyone who might be interested. Downside I can see with a wrist rocket is the rubber will deteriate. I also have C-spine damage. So shooting with a wrist rocket or bow and arrow would be problematic.

Most likely if things go that badly wrong I'm screwed anyway and won't be around long. But strainger things can happen.

For an EOTWAWKI airgun, I'd take either a Pre-charged Pneumatic repeater plus a hand pump and extra tanks, or a spring-piston (typically a break barrel). Scoped and carbine size. For killing mice, small birds, etc. at close range pretty much any pellet gun will do.

For those thinking about a sling shot, google sling bow.

Personally, I think a .22 (rimfire, not pellet) would be far more useful - unless noise is an issue.

edit: Forgot to mention I'd go .22 for the airgun.
