Planning to head to the San Quan Mountains the first week in july. Im asumming the passes will be open at that time, Planned it last yr the same time, but we headed south at the last minute. Sure would be nice to meet some local club members for a day or 2 to kind of show us the cool places! We plan to camp out a couple days, and rough it in Ouray and telluride a couple days. We will be there at least 3 to 4 days that week , and are flexible to other scenic trails in colarado also. And any trail or pass reports up to the planned trip would be most appreciated. Planning on doing imogene pass, blackbear pass and any other passes that may be reccomended.

July should be no problem this year, we had a horrid snow year, and Ouray wasn't much better than us.

If you're looking for a tag along, we're planning on heading down there about that same time. We've got a friend we'll be staying with in Ouray, and then we'll be wheeling around that general area, molas, engineer... near there.

If timing doesn't work out to catch you there, on the way there or back, I'd be happy to show you around my area of the state as well... tons of good wheeling here & some pretty country.

You're an accountant... but you're in construction???? Man... I wouldn't choose to be in this industry tight now if I could avoid it!!! (I'm an estimator for a company in Breck btw)

Ouray is pretty much the same drive as Moab.... if you can pull a friday off... take off right after work on thursday... you roll in at 10ish that evening, then you've got a full 2 days to play & head back on sunday after a short run! I try pretty hard to get fridays off as much as I can... not much for big vacations, but the little 3 day jaunts in CO are about all it take... we're already here :D

Yeah... it's rough being the FNG!!

My pay might suck, and the industry is a disaster right now, but I've got some freedom & work from home now... so I can't complain (but I will anyhow, just for good measure... :D)

still working on it, the rack hasn't come in yet. My guy is in Evergreen, the minute it comes in, I'll have it 4 hours later & cruise to big O to set toe.

Edit: Rack is in... new shocks & adapters go in tomorrow, and I'll pick it up on friday!
