well i guess its time to start my build thread
sry but its gonna be a slow one lol
but first off I found this beauty online but was in WV at a car max and I live in NC
well i contacted car max and they shipped it here for free so i could test drive it
needless to say I loved it right when I saw her! haha
the rig is a 2006 H3 with the I5 and 5speed manual in white
only had 41,000 miles for $21,000!
also I named her Laura as in Laura Croft the explorer(i know creative)
yes ik a deal for the ages also has the adventure package and the dvd package
this is what she looked like at the dealer.

now the first mod i did was to remove all the car max stuff!
then i wanted to plasti-dip the emblems and the grill (i dont do chrome!) also the snorkel covers

well thats it so far i plan on taking off those nurfs and throwing an intake in
but i plan on taking its on some trails before i decide what kinda major mods to go with

so here she is without nurfs

im kinda of thinking of making my own rock sliders with the mounts from the nurfs
so we will see how that goes! haha

now for the intake im gonna be doing like a Frankenstein set up. i had just got the filter on bc i was bored
but i do plan on taking that resonator box off and but some kind of straight pipe through with a real heat sheild (maybe next weekend)

Well there are plenty of vids on YouTube but basicly it's a spray on rubber but after it cures it's on pretty good

So I had another little muddin expedition with a few trails thrown in. me and my brother went, he has a jeep unlimited STOCK. also I had got my hi lift mounted to and right when we went on the trail there was a big hole you had to go through and my brother was leading and he has never been wheeling before so he crept through the hole but me wanting to show off and trying to splash all the water out of the hole hit it pretty hard and on the way out my hi lift slammed into the ground and kinda bent my hi lift mount :sigh: but it wasnt to bad and hey now I can just set it up a little higher so it want happen again! lol

so I have ReconH3 to thank for this one. He told me he had an OEM BG that I could have if I came and got it, soooo I did! haha



as you can see it is tan just like Recons whole rig. which by the way I got to see in person and was completely blown away! the pictures of it do it no justice at all!
the only words that came to mind were pinnacle, ridiculous, and awesome! lol



Just wanted to see what it looked like with the tan, it was kool just not my theme I'm going for.




So I painted it flat black, pretty easy actually.

And seeing how this BG came off the beast its self I wanted to pay a little respect and left ReconH3 on the back in the tan!


So here she is now, just need to get some lights on it now. I'm thinking some lightforce so STAY TUNED! :horns:
