Hey all, I am headed up to Telluride for the weekend to support a friend who is running from Ouray to Telluride over Imogene Pass. He has been training for a year, should be quite a challenge. Going to run some trails while I'm up there, and wanted to extend an invitation to any forum members that might want to join or that will be in the area. So far on the list is Black Bear Pass, with the short trip down to Bridal Veil Falls, and I'm looking for other suggestions beyond that! I hear that the new brewery in town that opened a few months ago is awesome, telluride brewing. I'll probably be there in the evenings :woot:

I'll check msg's on here for anyone that wants to meet up! Cheers.

Jealous! Not of the crazy people running Imogene Pass because that's just insane. But the wheeling should be fun. A nice road is Last Dollar Road that goes between Telluride and the road near Ridgeway. Yankee Boy Basin is fun and Poughkeepsie Gulch has one very challenging ledge that I would not do alone and/or without using the winch point they have as it is too slippery. Many crawl up easily; others do not. Several YouTube videos available.

Another nice trail is Ophir Pass between Ophir and the road south of Ouray. Also, from Ouray you can head out Engineer Pass and criss cross a lot of trails, some of which are part of the Alpine Loop. I like to take Engineer Pass east and then follow another trail down to Silverton. In the middle is an old mining town.
