Anyone watch it tonight? Pretty funny as they tried to get a Lincoln Town Car, Ford Mustang and Toyota Yaris from Monument Valley to Moab. They were on Lockhart Basin though I think they somehow bypassed a key stretch or two.

nav called me in to see the pony go over the cliff with a glider attached , pretty much a major FAIL !!!!!! most of it looked like they were on the access roads that get you to the trails. they sure had a mess to clean up , if they didn't get all the correct permits they will probably be hearing from F5 :)

I watched the last 20 minutes. Gotta love some of the stupid things they do. There are a couple of shows I'm suprised someone didn't take a shot at them.

A flying Mustang. That was a fail before it ever left the cliff. All in all it was pretty funny to see those 3 cars beat to death.

THe best thing they did was put the KM2's on the Lincoln...

Reminds me of the oldsmobile I saw out in Calico mountains during the cleanup event.

thats a good one , reminds me of when we came across a kid in a chevy lumina half way thru the white rim trail a few years back we met head on in a long sandy section and got our 3 truck group out of his way so could bomb on thru.

Too bad the idiots had no idea where they were. There are no Elk Ridge mountains (at least in this area of Utah), however, there is an Elk Ridge Trail and Wilderness area that travels over and through the Abajo mountains. They probably could not pronounce Abajo so they called it Elk Ridge.

Still not sure how they got the vehicle through the canyon we were on a few years ago. The remainder of Lockhart is fairly easy, and the last part (after the canyon we were on) is up to Hurrah Pass. Where they dumped the vehicles over the cliff was actually Kane Creek.

In fact, as you go down Kane Creek, just past the private campground on the right, is a small 4x4 trail that does up the mesa on the left (access to a hiking trail I believe). That is where the vehicles went over the mesa cliff at the end. And, take note that that the cliff scenes were actually filmed on "private" land. Therefore, the rock destruction that happened during the filming.

In addition, the Lincoln was actually lowered by a bulldozer, and the Yaris did not actually dislodge the Lincoln at the end. The bulldozer did it and it was made to look like the Yaris did the dislodging.

They had traffic stopped for over 2 hours to do the filming.

You mean what I see on TV isn't always real? Next you're going to tell me I can't believe everything I read on the Internet.
