Can't remember if I saw it posted here or elsewhere, but Costco is now Top Tier gas. My H3 seems to be sensitive to lower quality gas and benefits from stations like Chevron. I avoided Costco previously based on the performance of my H3; only recently did Costco change their formulation to become Top Tier.
As our valued member, you expect Costco to always offer the finest quality products at the best possible price. Gasoline is no exception. Costco has closely studied fuel additives and engine deposits, and conducted extensive engine tests at nationally-recognized laboratories. As a result, we decided to increase the detergent additives in our fuel to provide a better value to our members. As of March 2014 Costco is listed as a TOP TIER™ gasoline retailer. Find out more attoptiergas.com/retailers.html.

yep, I work for costco and run the breaks/lunches for the gas station attendants. We put ours in a few months ago.

I always stayed away from costco gas as well but since they put in the additive to make it top tier I used it more often. I noticed I get a little bit better mileage when I use it.

Off topic from gas but I will always support Costco. Its a great college job, or even a career for that matter. Time and a half pay every sunday. Starts out way over minimum wage, medical benefits as a part timer, paid vacation, sick pay all as a part timer. You cant get better then costco when it comes to retail jobs. I hate retail but since I moved over to tire center I am much happier. Only downside to tire center is that we dont offer non stock sizes or aftermarket rims like we used to. Too many issues with dumb****s fighting with managers on why 30in chrome rims wont fit on their bone stock camry and wanting their money back because the tires rub. Now we only offer stock or non factory size that come into the shop that we know already work. Sorry for the tangent.

My main point is that Costco intentions are good intentions.

I think I saw you the other week at my local one running the grease gun display. Didn't say hey, didn't want to call you out at work.

I've been running 91 for the last few years, the tune i have. I haven't noticed a difference in gas or performance. But I drive an aerodynamic cinder block.

Might actually improve sales. And I know you have stock option too. Win win.

One of the main selling points I use is carry grease gun with you AT ALL TIMES! You will make plenty of friends that way, I leave out the part that you will get made fun of too.

Probably not the friends you really want to make if you get what I'm saying. That's just wrong. Be seeing you in LB next year on the news for the parade

Talking about friends I made and you were in that category. I guess you do swing that way...

Enough hijacking the costco top tier gas thread!

Glad to hear this. I've always just filled up at Costco because its a couple minutes from my home and is consistently 10-20 cents cheaper per gallon. The Top Tier status is an added benefit.

On a separate note, their pizza is pretty awesome too. :hans:

I don't think Costco sells Diesel..... IF they did, I'd likely not have patience to wait in line.

Other than that, we like shopping at Costco. Not only do they often have good stuff, they also (supposedly) treat their employees well (compared to, say, Walmart)
