Towing with your H3 or H3T

I did a search and looked to see if there was a thread about towing already. I checked the search function, google, and bing. Please move if necessary.

Anyhow, I know this is not safest idea, but I was working on my diesel and I needed to get my truggy to the repair shop for the timing chain and valves. It was only about 6 miles on the road.

What a huge difference between a F350 and half ton. I would not recommend towing this much weight. I believe my trailer is about 1500lbs and the truggy is pushing about 5500lbs. 1000lbs just in tires.

The load was balanced well and I did not feel too much drift or push, but you could really feel the whoops on some of the over passes.

Thought I would share. Post up pics and specs of your towing. I would really like to build a smaller trailer tow my Trazor build with the H3T. It will be about 2900lbs when done.

Hillbilly moving . . . nice! I guess I fall into the same category.

I have some relatively heavy loads before (5000 lbs+) and was impresses with how well the truck tracked. Having the trailer ball so close to the axle sure keeps the whipping down. Only problem is the wimpy 5 cylinder engine just doesn't have the torque it needs to tow that heavy of a load on the highway.
