Purchased new tires and was told that my TPM was cracked. They replaced it and I've had a "service TPM" message ever since. It's driving me crazy!! When I called, they said the message would eventually go away. When it didn't I took it back, they reset it and it was gone. Until the next morning on my way to work that is. It's still on and its been months. Maybe a bad TPM? Any suggestions?

Moved to a vehicle specific forum. You'll get more answers from the general population here.

You might have another TPMS that's bad as well, perhaps with a dead battery. Advanced diagnostic tools, I believe, can report if one is bad. Take it to a good tire shop and have them check.

But, before you do that, perform the TPMS reset procedure in the owner's manual to make sure the four TPMS on the ground are all properly recognized by the truck.

Lately my Serv TPM has been coming on when I leave work at night when outside temps are below 30..it comes on shortly after I'm on the road and shuts itself off in about 5 mins or less...My dealer said my batteries in the sensors in each wheel are getting weak..

I am also getting serv TPMS message when it is cold. At first it did it when it was below 10 degrees and it has been increasingly coming on at higher temperatures. I did the reprogramming just for fun knowing that it would not solve the problem. I agree with what the dealer told Dennis is that the batteries are getting weak. My 3 was manufactured in 12 of 09. I thought they would last more than 4 years. It will likey go away when the weather warms up. Looks like new sensors are in my future before next winter.

Thanks everyone! You guys are awesome! So fortunate to have found this site! Its the best! The TPM is constant. Doesn't go away. But then again living in Buffalo that doesn't surprise me. It's been mighty cold up here this winter. Anyhow, I am dropping my truck off this weekend for a few other codes and they are going to take a look at that also.
