Transfer case

Have owned my H3 for two months now an the transfer case went out last sunday. Have a new one on the way, was wondering if anyone had an idea of what kind of fluid to put back in thats better then the one that comes in it. Any help would be great.

Dexron VI is the spec. I've put in OEM and Valvoline Dexron VI. If you want long life out of the transfer case, I'd recommend changing it frequently (every 20K miles, or something like that) vs. worrying about the fluid brand - I suspect you'll get more life from new fluid vs. "better" fluid. That fluid works hard and there's no filter on the case. At 1.6 qts capacity, it's cheap to change out if you do it yourself. My brand new GM case (strapped to a pallet) came pre-filled with GM's mystery fluid.

The dealer is doing it that i bought it from an they are keeping it. Other wise i would, an thanks for the info.
