Yeah I get it, but on the other hand how many wrecked or dead in the water H3 are laying somewhere with the Rancho lift on them? I have yet to see a H3 running around in my area with a Rancho lift on it. Leads me to believe many of the original Rancho lifts are sitting on H3's that have been laid to rest in peace.

Maybe but Alrock's is a well cared for H3, running and with the Rancho already installed for probably not much more than half what the Rancho lift kit itself will cost.

Nobody wrecks their H3, ever. LOL, everyone knows not to go to the local mall with a H3 and a Rancho, it'll be stolen. That and you live in SD, 10k residents, so not many H3's running around.

With only 160,00 H3's ever produced, and the newest one being 14 years old, that leaves a fair amount of them retired from wrecks and financial infeasibility. Say you have a H3 that books for 7K, needs a motor, trans, transfercase and you can't do the work yourself, it doesn't make sense to repair these vehicles at this point financially. Hence by the day, many of these H3's are retired, makes me wonder % still on the road. Which then means there is the same proportion of Rancho lifts retired daily.

I wish you were right about the 10K residents, unfortunately since Covid, many people came from CA and other populated areas to SD.

Interesting conversation. I would say that the demographic of H3 people who also purchased a Rancho has an awareness of the value of the lift kit, so they aren't sitting behind a garage somewhere not running. It was sold and that lift kit is on another H3.

I see guys on the gmt355 groups using the h3 arms with cv axles in conjunction with the Colorado lift kits to achieve a longer travel and more lift. I winder why anyone hasn't test fit some Colorado lifts onto these.

Now that's a reply that peaks my interest. I see the colorado's lift kits (04-12) come with new knuckles, if those work with H3 arms and cv's that's a game changer. What forum has the discussion about them using H3 arms and cv's on their Colorado's? I'm interested in this research. Thanks you for the useful reply.

These guys use Michigan metal works uca with silverado knuckles and h3 lca and h3 cv axles. I bet something like this would fit. Soon as I get a h3 I am going to test this

I wonder what this setup would net for lift? The Silverado knuckles could be junkyard sourced, just leaves the Michigan metal works UCA's. However the ZR2 telescoping CV axles are also intriguing.

Check out the guy who deleted the torsion bars and ran silverado coilovers. He has a thread on there too.

The Colorado knuckles from the lift will not work with the cv axles on the h3. That's why he used the silverado with mmw uca. Mmw will make custom knuckles aswell. But the junkyard silverado knuckles are budget friendly.

Trakmotive makes a extended travel cv ,alot of guys like. Uses more balls in the cv to allow for more angle. Also has a redesign cv boot so the ribs do not rub and friction burn. Napa has these in stock

Yeah I hear you on the Silverado knuckles, price is right, only bigger cost is the MMW UCA's, still wonder how much lift this would be. The Trakmotive extended travel your referring to is that for the H3 cv's? If so, got a part number?

You could use these 4" Silverado lift knuckles then correct? Like these? Have Michigan build the UCA's to match the upper ball setup LCA's should work with the H3's ball setup correct?

The Michigan Metal Works adjustable UCA arms look pretty sweet.
