Hey guys I am looking at used transmissions online ,there is a big range from 500$-2500$.
If I search for Colorado Trang they are lot cheaper.will Colorado 4x4 transmission fit with out a lot of modifying?
Such bullshit that hummer in the name cost twice as much, they break twice as fast.
Anyway I found one with one yr warranty for 534$ says it’s for 4x4 Colorado same year same engine.
My tranny lost d and 3, other gears work fine n can manually shift into 3&d

I love the h3 the way it drives and feels but it’s a money pit that is broke down more then on road.I can’t see spending 2500$ for used tranny with 100k miles on it. Got a guy that rebuild it for 1500$but I already went that route in a Camaro and it got worse every time it was rebuilt.

Street Smart Transmission in FL is who I got my tranny from. Prices have gone up since I got mine of course, but 3 year warranty is nice. I had to get mine switched out towards the end of the warranty due to an issue with the input shaft speed sensor, but zero mechanical issues. If you pay a shop to install it they cover labor as well if it needs warranty work. They do remanufactured rather than rebuild.

I wouldn't put anything used in my rig like a transmission.

Get it redone but with upgraded HD Sonnax parts and a new torque converter (or rebuilt one).

Get an external cooler too and install a trans temp gauge.

How many miles on your rig? Tow a lot?

I know for a fact that 2006 transmissions are different from 2007, and it is sensor related. (Maybe speed sensor?) I had a 2006 in mine for a very short while and it threw all kinds of codes and did not work properly. Swapping to a 2007 fixed it. Both were transmissions from GM, when they still offered them.
