H3 What type of Rear shocks should I buy for my Lifted H3?

The title says it all, I recently lifted my h3 with the rough country leveling kit for the h3 that adds 2.5" to the front. I saw on the sticky thread that the "Bilstein (24-186742) 5100 Series Rear Shock Absorber" is a great choice for the front. However since there is only that for the shocks I am thinking that the stock rear shocks will do just fine? All 4 need to be replaced since they all seem to be shot anyways. Just wondering if I need to get anything other than stock shocks for the rear.

Any suggestions are accepted.

Nope normally people go with bilestin 5100s and the extended bump stops but I wouldn't do the bump stops and just deal with the nose dive if any

I'd go for Fox all the way round if you can afford that they can get pricey. I personally use bilsteins as they are a bit cheaper.

The Fox 2.0 shocks I got for the front are the same for the Chevy 1/2 ton 4X4 so they work great on the heavy nose of the H3 . I want to say they were FOX985-02-009 .

Sorry to hijack thread, i wonder if I can use king shock for Jk application for rancho lifted h3 , seem to be pretty close image.png, is collapsed length 1" difference gonna effect up travel?

Here is Bilstein 7100 1" shorter collapsed length compare to rancho one , King is like little shorter, that why I'm debating on getting King shock one if that fit

I hear Silverado rear shocks fit.

With some work.... Mine are for a lifted (actually lifted, not just cranked t-bars) truck. I believe they are for +4" Chevy but I had to use bar pin eliminators. I cross referenced the lengths for the Rancho shocks w/ the lift and came up with these. I figured they were a little stiffer than JK shocks people have been known to use. JK shocks share our bar pin design of the rears...

Replace the torsion bars with alpha bars if the nose dive is excessive. Especially if you ever plan to stick a winch up there...

Thanks for the info! Never knew that before, I just dropped my torsions to 23.5 and now the nose dive is insane! At 24.25 there was no nose dive, but it was a rough ride compared to now

24.25 is waaaaaay too high. There's threads detailing why but it causes all kinds of excess stress on everything under there from cv shafts to steering racks. You're saving yourself in the long run by dropping it back down. I've been told torsion bar setups typically work better with a small amount of forward rake vs being completely level with the rear.
