I know a lot of people that want a bigger lift on the 3.

Couldn't they do a 4in rancho lift and a 2in body lift?

Doesn't a BL allow for more room for larger tires, larger tires lead to more clearance.... I could have it all wrong but thought that's the reason for them

Well you can't exactly run 37's on a H3, which make the Body Lift completely pointless since 35's fit just fine on factory ride height.

There is nothing wrong with a properly done bodylift... I hear so many morons say "bodylifts are not real lift" "they suck".

Again, I had 35s on my stock height H3 and after an abrupt landing the tire grabbed the fender and ripped it off my truck. After installing 1" bodylift no more problems. Also gets your rocker panels up higher. If you have your sliders adjusted for the bodylift you gain rocker panel clearance. All of my vehicles have had bodylifts (other than my range rover sports). And its stupid to say that it "raises your center of gravity" Yes, your right, mathematically it can be proven it does but guess what? In reality it makes no noticeable difference on the road or offroad. We are not talking about a redneck hockey puck 6" bodylift..

There are several H3's with just a bodylift and 37s. If I was going to run the rancho lift and 37s I would also run a bodylift as the less backspaced wheels increase your scrub radius and with 37s this would come close under full compression.

Before my bodylift my +10mm front wheels with 35s on em scrapped the top of the fenders whenever I get hard landings (and you get alot of those when hitting 80 mph in the desert). Now Im body lifted Im able to go wider for more stability and Im only worried about how wide i can go before hitting the back of the front fenders.
The whole body shouldnt weight 1/4 of the rest of the truck, so every inch u go up you're raising the whole COG by 0.2 inches, while it allows you to go 1" wider on each side (just changed my wheels to -12mm). Engineering wise you need to go out 1" on each side to counter 1" increase in COG, so I see that if Im able to bring out each side an Inch while raising my COG 0.2" Im way better off than how I was before!

Exactly. This is very sound logic.

I am running a 1" body lift since my 35" KM2s did rub inside the fenders. I actually got enough flex in the front that my tires grabbed hold of the inner fender and broke a piece out.

Granted, extended bump stops would have kept this from happening as well, but the rear tires would occasionally rub as well. The 1" lift fixed that.
