wheel spacers

So who's running wheel spacers? I know 06H3 is... What brands are you guys using? I was looking at the G2 ones. Probably 1.25" ones. I put stock 16s on the truck with 35s and I'd like to widen the stance up a little bit. Itd be awesome to find some that are good quality so they're hopefully able to keep the tires balanced. I thought about seeing if I could bolt them on the wheels and have them balance the tires with the spacers on.... I'll just mark the studs so they get installed in the same orientation ad they were on the balancer.

I'm running 1.75 in spacer just like 06h3 I can't remember the brand name...so I'll get back to u in that.

Edit...the brand is Motorsport...they are pretty good quality so far I have recorded 4k+ miles on them and Chris/06h3 way more...and no issue...as for balancing your wheels with the spacers on idk if that makes a difference.

I've had mine on almost a year. They are Motorsport Tech. I believe they are 1.25". No issues but they get checked with every tire rotation.

My friend is running 1.75" wheel spacers from Motorsport tech for over a year now. He wheeled with me over 10 times (80 miles of high speed desert/dune runs each) and he never had a single complaint about their quality. However it takes ages for the manufacturer to build a set.

Plus these custom ones can be built to match the hub diameter and the center bore of your wheels (which is a plus as it reduces vibrations)

I highly recommend Spidertrax Wheel Spacers. They're hub centric so you shouldn't have any issues with them. I ran a set on my LJ so I could run JK rims and I never had any issues. Also use a few drops of red loctite on the threads to prevent them from coming loose. They were 1.25 wide. Stay away from the ebay wonders which are not hub centric.

I was gonna lo tide mines but I rather torque them and check them every week or so...so far no wheels coming off.

Yeah I did that as well, on every tire rotation. Spidertrax fully warranties their stuff, but they highly recommend few drops of red loctite, which actually comes with each spacer.

I loctite my spacers from Motorsport tech and torque em to 103 ft lbs and no issues wheeled and daily driven over 30k miles

I had a set of the eBay wonders on my old lifted liberty and I got some wobble. It may have been the general grabber at2s I had. They would never balance right. I'm gonna look into those motorsport ones. I liked the G2 ones cause they were black. What size is the hub flange on our hubs? Hubcentric is definitely a must...

Any chance I could get a part number so I order the right one the first time.

I emailed motorsports tech inquiring about the spacers. They said they can make them however you want. He just didn't have em listed on their site. They seem like the best out there... IMO.

So does aftermarket rims. Anything that pushes your backspacing out does that. 4.08 backspacing with 1.75in spacers is modest compared to other rigs.

I am still on original hubs that are now 9 years old 125k miles and a few years of hard wheeling and lower backspacing. I believe the hubs can handle it

Spacers don't put anymore stress on your rig than differently spaced rims vs OEM. Spidertrax doesn't list GM spacers, anymore but they do have a set for the toyota FJ Cruiser which is 6x5.5, but I am not sure of the center hub diameter.

I guess grab some G2's or Motorsports Tech.

I like them because they make whatever you want. The hub bore is adapter to you and they can do adapter so you can run different bolt patterns etc.

Wouldn't spacers cause rubbing? Isn't it basically like installing a set of rims with negative offset?

Opposite of rubbing. That's why people install them. Especially if you are running something like the Rancho lift ie.. Mr 06 H3. A wider stance too, which should help in nearly every off road situation. Except narrow trails ;)
Plus wider stance=looking more bad ass.. :)

Too much spacer ----> rubbing on fenders
Big tires + no spacer ----> rubbing on the inner fenders (37s) and sway bar (36s)

What would be a good size spacer for 35in tires and 17in rims with 15 offset on a leveled h3?
