Hello everyone. I'm new to this site and looking for some help. I have a 2007 Hummer H3 that will not turn over. Short story on what happen, Battery was dying durning me trying to get it started, then all of a sudden it decided not to crank anymore. So I thought if I replaced the battery with a new one it would solve the problem. Well it did not. I check all fused and tried several times doing the passlock reset. Still nothing. When i turn the key to the on position it shows me a engine light and a solid passlock light. However if i try to start it it just shows the engine light. Would or could the be a faulty ignition switch?

Disconnect the new battery, and let it sit about 20 minutes to reset the computer. If that doesn't work, I'm not too sure, I doubt your starter just happen to go out the same time your battery died. There's a lot of good knowledge here. Somebody will chime in.

Makes sense to check the battery terminals. After that, I'd look at the ignition housing and that needs a dealer since it has to be programmed to the VIN

No it does not. The relearn procedure is pretty simple and takes 30 minutes. You don't even need to replace the entire ignition switch, just the Passlock module on the rear of it.
