As well in getting ready to do some major refreshing in the engine bay area, I'm replacing, water/steering pump, belt and tensioner, idle pulley, fan clutch, motor mounts since panzer has close to 110k, and some of this parts are already showing their age signs. I've included links as well i double check this parts with GM, for anyone wanting or needing to get this soon. I'm also throwing in a new higher amp alternator.

Yesterday my dreams of owning a m1102 came true hahaha....been hunting for one for quite a while now. The ones that pop up either were too expensive or were not title, anyways i came across this one and knew I had to scoop it up. I feel a m1102 is a better choice than a Gobi rack...since it haul more scheiße than a roof rack and it doesn't throw off your CO.
Anyways here she is, I also picked up a Kayak but that's whatever lol, "I do wish I have had the oem rails tho...but the roof held it up just fine".

Flip it upside down and cut the entire suspension off...probably worth 400 lbs (or 50 h.p.). Then get a new 6-lug (3000 lb) axle made so it can share the same spare as the H3. Ditching the super heavy stock rims and spare will save you another 200 lbs. Then cut off that ridiculously heavy and outdated pintle hitch, tongue & parking brake. Replace it with a hi-angle 2" conventional ball type hitch....good for another 100 lbs.

Then you finally have a trailer that an H3 can pull.

sounds like a lot of work just to loose some weigh. I think dropping in a Dirtymax would be an easier task and then we don't have to worry about weight nor HP[emoji848]

Those military trailers are so “overbuilt” that they are a handicap most of the time. Unless you are hauling mortar rounds or gold bars.

It’s a 100th of the work (and money) to shave the trailer, compared to a motor swap.

I agree on the over built...im replacing the tire set up to some h2 rims and some 37" or 40" if I can fit them... everything else is staying as is...i don't plan on doing a lot of heavy towing with it mainly it is to have a place to sleep and to haul some extra stuffs when camping or going out to shoot.

Not a warn zeon platinum like I'd have liked, but for $400 out the doors with a 2 year warranty I figure I'd give it a shot...plus with the extra $1,400 that i saved by not getting the warn zeon i was able to use that coin to get an ARB front bumper which is coming in sometime next week so.

Completely disagree with that , I have 1102 that I am converting to a off-road camper. Suspension and axel is awesome. I like my pintle hitch, but I did do electric over hydraulic conversion (mountain driving/water fording). Parking brake is a big help too. I did install same wheels as H2.
but I do run it behind my H2, it does great off-reading when I'm out in the sticks.
custom all aluminum cap and aluminum roof rack. Solar kit,40 gal gas ant 30gal water tanks.

I agree they are great off-road towing them several times thru bad terrain with the m1151's I loved how they performed.
I do plan in ditching the military wheels in the near future as well so they aren't so heavy but that's about it. I want to get me a twist pintle receiver like the one in the m1151's instead of the solid like the one I have.

I had to make tongue longer (~2 ft) on mine to deal with my barn doors and trailer spare tire. It was almost impossible to open if u not inline with trailer.

think the new ARB bumper is heavy enough to throw out your front suspension settings? or were you not 100% dialed in yet?

Personally I think the ARB is going to look great and will be well worth it

Not too worry my 1/4" steel rear bumper and rhino spare tire carrier set up is more would make up for the additional weight...i might have to move the coil bucket 1 hole or so once the ARB and winch are on. Getting my pcm reprogram for the 5.13's and 35"s, and I got squeaky' s old pcm which I'm having reprogram for 40/42"s. Since those will be my off-road tires. Should be fun, hopefully that helps the I5 lol. If not then the 6.6 dirtymax with Allison might have to happen sooner than expected.

I think I'm ok with the stock tongue of the m1102 plenty of space maybe a tight fit for the pintle hitch when I mount the spare 40/42"s

Installed a much wanted and needed ARB front bumper, and for pair it for the mean time with a cheap 12k harbor freight that I picked up for $400 with a 2 yr warranty...i was afraid the ARB wings would get on the way but there's plenty of spaces for them 42"s [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]

New water pump and fan clutches are installed, had to go find me a strap wrench in order to loose the water pump pulley, that ate 2 hrs of wrenching time. Also I discovered that my new alternator has a different connection plugs I guess I messed up and order one for the 3.5 and not the 3.7, hopefully I can get this fixed tomorrow since the eBay seller lives in van Nuys, CA, tomorrow I should have time to install the new, steering pump, idle pulley, belt tensioner, and motor mounts tomorrow.
I also installed my 5 gal Vaiar tank and air compressor. Need some 90° elbow in order to plug it up...so far PANZER is getting a nicer configuration and I couldn't be prouder [emoji383][emoji383][emoji385][emoji385][emoji389][emoji389][emoji389][emoji41]

Is it just me or is the gap between the grille and bumper pretty wide?

Installed the new steering pump and belt tensioner, as well was able to replace driver side motor mount. After 108k miles and 10 year it needed replacement...i also was able to get my alternator swap since the one I got first had a different connector. Tomorrow I should have the truck back running.

I am curious, can you hear a bad motor mount while driving or did you just spot it when you were under there?

No negative symptoms with panzer in particulat at all really...i just decided to change them due to the age and mileage 108k and 10 years...im replacing passenger side today I'll share how worn out that one is as well.
