The new tires are in the HOUUUSE....AND ON!!

Well these 37" Cooper STT's were suppose to come in before my trip to Drummond Island. They were not in on time as promised causing me to barrow from Daddyraff his set of MT/R's he uses on his HMMWV, thank god for friends.

Four hours into our drive to Drummond I get the call from the jerks that screwed up the order somehow the tires are finally in (a full week late). When I got back from my trip I picked them up (could not find them cheaper anywhere else at $306 a tire) but would not give that tire dealer any more of my money so another shop is putting them on for me this week.

Until then they sit in my garage and YES it smells great. I took a few pics and thought I would share, I know your jealous. They old smooth ones you see got me 50,000+ miles so I was very happy with my choice from two years ago. Now all I need is some early Wisconsin snow break them in.

When you first look at the old ones next to the new ones they look like two different sizes but everything you see is 37 x 12.5 x17 Between the tread being worn down and the new tires being unmounted with no load on them they look like I am going up a size.

I'm with you, mine did not last long at all.

:p Well I don't have any; got Cooper Cobra Radial GT's on the car right now and Discoverer ST's on my truck, 2nd set after using the stock set up and I'm coming up on 170,000 miles, they've had a bit of wheeling on them too, nothing serious...its a sport trac lol

Nice! I somehow missed that you were running STTs on your truck. So 50,000 on the old ones, eh? Not bad. I hope I can get the same out of mine. What air pressure do you run in yours?

And yes, I did love the smell of them new!

I run them on the road at 50psi. I think I only rotated them twice. They wore out very even although the set I had on the front in the end was flat smooth and the ones on the rear still had 1/8"+ tread.

Offroad I run 20 and in the desert I had them down to 12 with no problem (although it was still not enough to get up tip over challenge without a front locker)

Nice! Those tires look good on your rig. I brought home a new set of tires from Chicago last week (for a different vehicle) in the back of the H2 so I could live without smelling rubber for awhile. I need to get a set of 37's for mine. It hurts my eyes seeing stock tires on it for this long.

Cool, thanks. I have been running 50 on the road as well. I usually air down to 15 on the trails, and they really wrap around all the rocks and roots. I could probably go a little higher, but why mess with what works, right?

those will nice! again! 50K out of those? really? that's great! the tread depth on those looks comp. to the Toyo MT's. ...but way less money and lighter.

They are on!!

New tires are on and ready to go. I swear you can feel the spongyness of the treads compared to the worn down ones that were on there. Also swapped out the old chrome lug nuts for that complete black out look.

Well, I got a little over 25K on STTs, but that is STTs not Cobra Radial GTs or STs. And I run recommended TP except when on a trail, the I drop down. I will admit, the sure wore evenly across all four tires and across each tire side-to-side. And they had decent traction in all types of conditions.

They look good, and you probably can feel the extra tread that you didn't have on the old tires. I noticed that when I had the STTs replaced a few months ago on the trip back from Grand Junction.
