H3 oem rock rails

That's a good deal. But how good are this for the real off-road situation? The OEM ones look much wicker then compare it to some custom build ones. For example look at Schwarttzy's. I was considering the OEM ones just because it got the side step, and I do need that. (My girl will kill me if I will put something under by rig that does not have a step. It's kind of hard to get for here when she is wearing a dress).
I like the look of the HummerGuy's steps, plus you can take it of easily when you go offroad. The question is will this rockers stand up to it's name? Or is just more for look?

I own a set of both Schwarttzy sliders and OEM rock rails with steps. The OEM units are currently installed on my H3. They will work for all but the most extreme conditions. You just remove a couple of bolts each for the steps. Schwartty's are much heavier in weight, but appear to be able to take anything you can throw at them. I can't tell you for sure, since they have never been mounted on my truck. I ordered the first set he made after his own and after six months of waiting, they don't fit correctly. He offered to make good, but I just cut my losses and figure some day I'll find a way to correct the issues...

Yea, there are quite a few options available but what really attract me to the OEM ones is the side step. I HAVE to have it. And there is NO WAY I will get the nerf bars. So far the only option that I could find the OEM rock sliders and OEM Step to it.

They work great! Even if I get the Schwartty's ones installed, I will be looking for a way to make these fit.

I picked up a set - Bolts didn't fit in the pre-threaded holes on my frame for the rails. To make sure I wasn't nuts, I took it to a local off road and trailer accessories shop and had them give it a shot - they called me twenty minutes after I dropped it off to say the hardware was wrong. I'm notifying the seller - if I can find the right hardware, i'll buy it and proceed, if not, I'll have to return these in the next few days. A new thread has been created in the appropriate section of the forum on the topic of the correct bolts in case anyone knows a quick fix and wishes to share ...

It turns out the bolts were correct. I bought another set based on the thread on the correct bolts and had the same problem. Started a new thread and a lot of folks are stating they had to re tap the holes on the frame due to corrosion and mud, etc. If you're considering ordering these, the hardware is CORRECT, it just may be a pain if you're like me and have been using your Hummer off road for years and are just now getting around to adding rails or sliders.
