Long drive, lots of gas, several hotel bills and a week off of work. A donation would be more effective but probably not as much fun.
I know, it's definitely buggin me to not go.

Well, just put in for my time off yesterday and my wife beat me to it and has gotten her's approved, so chances are we'll be down from Wa for this. Hopefully we can get a few more rigs from our area to wagon train it with![]()
We have opened up the Registration for the First Ever HUMMER Only Car Show! The Pismo Beach HUMMER Invasion on June 29th 2013 is now open for registration ... what we ask is that you purchase a T-Shirt at least a $20 donation for entry fee. It is not mandatory but all proceeds are going to serving our Veterans so its all for a good cause!
The link is: http://www.HummerInvasion.com then click on "Register" at the top right!
The site is still a work in progress but is slowly getting there. We are about a week out for the Pre-Order of the shirts. Sponsor, Contributor and Vendor pages are being built as we are finalizing that now. We will be having Raffles throughout the Show for H1, H2 and H3 parts and accessories!!! BIG SHOUT OUT our Sponsors: iCon Motorsports, Hummer Parts Guy and Tustin Hummer. Our contributors: Blue Hummer, Hummer Parts Club and Kascar and non-Hummer related SLIME is donating a ton of products we will raffle off also!!! ... and hopefully still more to come!
Some questions we have had is the hours. I have rented the parking lot all day ... the official hours are 9-5, we ask that trucks enter before 10am and not leave before 4pm as per requirements of the City. I had to Fight to get this spot on PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) right in the middle of town so they want a presence for a specified amount of time.
We will have vendors, currently we will have Ribline cooking BBQ (featured on Man vs. Food), Konfusion Asian Cuisine and the famous Coco's Vintage trailer serving coffee, drinks and Fresh Baked Pies (Yum ... mouth watering) plus there are other several other restaurants within a few blocks, this is in the heart of Downtown! Oh I almost forgot the Kettle Corn!
I need to get the registration going because I have rentd 2/3's of the parking lot and if we go over 60-70 trucks I will need to rent the rest of the parking lot and maybe the one across the street also!
There will also be Military presence ... the Marines are coming with the famous Pull Up bar, giving away hats, t-shirts, etc. The Army is coming out with their push up mat and having give aways also. The Air Force said they had a surprise for me ... so not sure about that and I haven't been able to confirm the Navy yet.
Hopefully everyone will come out and have a blast!
Expendable, when is the absolute last day register must be made, I'm leaning on attending.
Dan
There is no last day to register. it's to get as accurate of a vehicle count as possible. With the amount registered up until Friday Night the amount of parking spaces are nearly half taken. and to get more spaces for the car show the deadline is the end of this month. it would be a shame for anybody to show up and not have space available at the show.
Consider this more of a "Gathering" of HUMMER's! I had to call it a "Car Show" to get approved and the permit from the City of Pismo Beach. Come one, Come all in any condition! Lets make this the Largest Gathering of Hummers ever!I'd might try and make this if I can. I might have to get some of the sun damage painted if there's a show or I can find a huge mud puddle to drive it through to cover it up. Hummers look better with mud and mother natures pin striping any way. lol

Pismo is a Blast! The only beach in California you can drive on the beach and camp right on the sand! Here are a few links to the State Web Site: http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=406 http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=1207 and for the camping: http://www.reserveamerica.com/campi...ls.do?contractCode=CA&parkId=120065&pstate=CA more info on hotels and vacation rentals can be found at www.HummerInvasion.com Hope to see you there!I have never been to pismo but have always wanted to check it out. Maybe I will tow the trailer up there and camp for a few days
I agree 100%! A great reason to come is that Downtown Pismo will be busy BUT the dunes should be relatively open as there are less than 200 reservations for these days out of a total of 1000! So only at 20% capacity which means it should be fairly open to wheel, which is a great thing for us!Pismo is straight up FUN. Hummers are great vehicles for that kind of wheeling. They have plenty of power and can take the landings. I typically try to go around Oct/Nov to avoid crowds because it can be insane during the summer. If I can make this trip I will. frank
That would be AWESOME! We have a couple registered from the NorthWest as far as Canada! Maybe we can make a coordinated Convoy! Let me know when and where you will be traveling and I will do my best to link everyone together and make this as fun as possible! here is my email: 955sold@gmail.comI think I'll be able to make it, maybe some of us washington and Oregon folks could convoy it down?
All the info should be on the website: www.HummerInvasion.com For the participation we are asking that you buy a T-Shirt (pre-order $20 or $25 at the show) or any donation would be greatly appreciated, we have great sponsors but the show was much more costly than I had originally anticipated and I don't people to feel that they have to pay to get in, this should be about fun and enjoying life with our Hummers! We are going to be contributing to Combat Veterans Foundations so the more we can raise, the more we can help!I had put on the FB page I would go. What is there to do? And where exactly will it be held at? Any participation fee?
Any donation to the cause would be appreciated and Marcus would be honored! We will also be transmitting hopefully on a couple different sites, we have Ustream already connected to the site and also looking at doing a Google+ Hangout for everyone that can't make it!Wow, hubby just ran the numbers for me & just in fuel alone to get there & back will cost us $1200. As much as I would love to go, for the reason I would be going (the Lonesurvivor Foundation), it would be better to donate that money directly to the foundation. Sorry Expendable but we can't make that one. I did see they have a Lonesurvivor Ranch here in Texas, perhaps we could do something here.
Hello Dan ... we initially planned on 50 trucks, we have passed that number in registration!!! The area we are in should hold a max capacity of about 100 HUMMERS plus the Sponsors, Vendors and Military! I will be going back to the location this week and measuring the lot and re-planning the parking of the trucks. The registration is only to guarantee you a spot in the show. Any questions feel free to call! 818-612-1603 (private cell - voice or text)Sounds good, it looks like my family and I will be a taking a trip..see you there. Registered..by the way, there will be two vehicles, my hummer and my son's SUV, there nothing in the registration that shows how many vehicles will be showing up. Dan
