I saw a post the other day on how to fix my problem but I can't find it now. In my 06 h3 if I turn my thermostat knob just one notch from full cold it blows out full heat. How can I fix this.

You might try this: Pull the dash and unplug and plug back in the connector for the that control knob unit. It may or may not work. I replaced my radio once and it messed up like that after I installed everything, then I had to open it back up to mess with the antenna. Then it magically worked after that.

That fix in the link is for the problem he described of going from cool to full heat when the knob is off full cold.

There are not parts so far for the recall of the blower motor overheating from what I can find out.

Two different issues here, guys. The link I posted is a DIY fix for the issue of the "TEMP" control going to full hot when you turn it just 1 or 2 clicks off "cold", which is what is happening to samiamakasamuel. That has nothing to do with the recall, which addresses the fan motor not working because of a melted connector/resistor. That is NOT what samiamakasamuel's issue is.

Sam, the recall IS active, but still only preliminary. GM doesn't have the parts yet to actually fix it, and will contact owners when they do. It fixes an issue with the fan, not the temp control. The issue YOU are having (unrelated to the recall) can be fixed with a 68 ohm resistor and a soldering iron, per the link I provided.
