I have worked on many H3s, and I can say from first hand experience...
Any H3 with a 100K miles needs a complete suspension rebuild. I work on them all the time, and even at 60K...its very common to have looseness, pulling right to left, clicking, thumping, clanking, popping, crooked steering wheels, etc. Seriously....I've driven some 40K H3's that you would swear were 240K vehicles! Its not that they are a total POS....its just that they require constant attention. Half shafts, shocks, ball joints, racks, A-arm bushings, crossmember bushings, rack bushings, radiators, hubs, etc...are all very critical parts. They fail early, and thats just part of the game.
The cool thing is...for $1600 you can basically make ANY H3 better than new, regardless of the mileage. The important thing is that you get a good solid motor and tranny.
