Hi Everyone, I am selling my 2006 H3 3.5L with 109K miles. Let me know if anyone is interested or knows anyone in the market...
Clean Title and Smog Certificate on hand. It Fully Loaded and has the hard to find combination of Luxury and Adventure (off road) packages. Luxury Edition includes leather, power seats, heated seats. Adventure package includes Rear Lockers, 4.56 Gear Ratio, 4:1 Transfer Case. I take this H3 off road, but it is not abused. It has some brush scratches on the sides, but they are very limited when polished up (see photos). If the new owner is planning on doing any off-roading, the Adventure Package is a must have. Lockers alone are over $2K for the parts. Not a daily driver, garage kept 90% of the time.
Upgrades: Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust, 35” Wheels KMC XD Series Rims with Fierce Attitude Tires 75% + tread remaining. Bilstein Shocks. Kenwood DDX 512 Stereo with NAVIGATION/DVD/CD/AUX. Alpine PDX 5 Amplifier 5 Channel with 4x75W and 1x300W. High end aftermarket speakers and sub in factory locations, installed by original owner. I don’t remember the brand of speakers, but the previous owner made a point of telling me they were top of the line. They are crystal clear and loud if you are into that! 2-1/2” front leveling kit. Outfitter Design Heavy Duty Tie Rods. PLEASE NOTE: I am planning on keeping the brush guard and winch mount in the pictures, so they are not included.
Work needed: The bushing on the clamp holding the rack and pinion wore out. I bought a heavy duty clamp Mayhem Metalworks to replace it. After the fact I started thinking I may as well replace the rack and pinion while at it. But just the HD Clamp and bushings that I have should do the trick. My problem is that I just don’t have the time to replace it right now. So before doing it myself I figured I may as well offer it up for sale at a reduced price as is to see if anyone prefers it that way. If the buyer wanted to go as cheap as possible, they could just install the heavy duty clamp and bushings that I have. I am willing to either offer it for the advertised price if somebody wants to do the work themselves, or add $1.2K and have it done by my mechanic. If it costs less, I'll just bump the price by that amount. There is New OEM Rack and Pinion with Outer Tie-Rods on Ebay for $258 with Free Shipping. Email me for the link, but you can also search H3 Rack and Pinion to find it yourself.
The reason I am selling is that I bought a 2008 H3 Alpha Adventure. My plan was always to drive the 2006 until I could afford an H3 Alpha Adventure.
Smog Certificate in hand. I just had the dealer replace the Cylinder Head a few months back. It wouldn’t pass smog due to one cylinder having low compression. I took it by the dealer and talked to GM, they agreed to replace it if I paid the first $800. I went ahead and did it. That was within the last 6 months, so obviously a major plus since the new owner won’t have to worry about that for a very long time.
This H3 is priced to sell with all of the upgrades, rebuilt engine (top), and overall condition. However, I don’t have to sell it immediately and will wait for the right price if needed. KBB Private Party is $13.5K for a Stock H3. Current listings for 2006 H3 Adventure is more like $15K + and usually are higher miles and without leather seats. The new price for these aftermarket upgrades was around $7K. I am pricing this to sell and will Entertain Offers Over $11.3K without fixing the clamp on the rack and pinion, or Offers Over $12.5K with a New Rack and Pinion. If it costs less to install the rack & pinion, I'll just bump the price by that amount.
I'm not considering any offers under $11.3K at this time.
