I thought I would share my experience with my recent shop visit.
My 50k is coming up on the truck, so I took the rig to Medved Autoplex here in Denver.
This is what I requested
1. New front plastic windsheild trim pieces. Discolored. APPROVED. I was shocked.
2. Front door weather stripping. Was not holding up to the door frame. Would sag about half inch. APPROVED. New weather stripping.
3. Head liner was sagging a bit by the driver side. APPROVED. They are replacing the entire head liner.
4. Plastic bolt cover on the bumper was missing. Approved
5. Crack in right exterior brake lens. Not approved. Long shot, but I tried.
6. Weird metal vibration at 2700rpms from under the driver seat area. APPROVED. Turned out that some other mechanic in the past bolted the heat sheild in the wrong location.
So I head to Pennsylvania for work for a week and get a phone call. Radiator is cracked. I thought this was only on the I-5 engines. They ended up covering all new hoses, radiator, sensors, thermo and transmission flush. I didn't ask them to check that, but they did a good job of looking over the entire vehicle.
They were impressed with how clean the under carriage is. Not a scratch or dirt to fall in their eyes.
I got lucky I guess.
