I have 3 24V LED offroad that I came across.....:shifty: right going on I don't have the 2 battery system in my T and wanted to know if there is anyway I can make them work just off a 12V system? I already try to plug them to the battery to see what would happen and as I thought nothing happen. So I come to you guys to see is there is some wisdom I can gather? Thank you!

Those are most likely lights for military vehicles.

There's no easy way to do it. The best way would be to rewire the internal parts of the light.

I don't think you can add another battery to the truck to give you 12 volts to the truck while giving 24 volts to the lights. WHile still having the truck charging the batteries when needed. The wiring for this would be a nightmare.

I think I have heard of inverters to alllow you to use them. I am not sure though. And no, you can't add another 12V battery to make a 24V connection. It doesn't work that way.

Well actually two 12V batteries wired in series would be 24 volts but it would require a 24v alternator and a step down module to run the 12v electrical system on the vehicle.

You need a step-up 12vdc to 24vdc converter. What is the wattage/current draw (amp) of the led lights? That will depend on what size converter you need.

There is no easy way. For example, a 24vdc light strip with 30 LEDS is around 1.8watts and 0.075 amps. Both are low on LED's so you may be able to get away with a small step-up converter. Depends on the amps/watts of what you have in your hand.

I agree with CNY750Rider, you just need to find a 12 VDC to 24 VDC converter with enough capacity to run the light.

yeah what they said or you can give them to me:thumbs: I run 2 batts in our 3 and I have a isolater (I think thats what it's called) so i can run 24v to the lights but keep everything else on 12v.

Depending on how it is wired internaly and the specs on the individual LEDs, it could just take a little internal rewiring.

I have the led mount up anywhere type it's just like the hmmwv LEDs but there is just 2 wire and the power wire lights up all the LEDs. I'll take pictures of them latter but bracket, nuts and bolts are all there. Looks like I'll just pass them out to who ever wants to make a deal.

I'm just going to put all 3 for sell and look for the H3 roof mounted lights. But these damn lights are so bright..... I'll live and I guess I won't be using the rear hmmwv LED brake lights also.

You have any pictures of it?

These are pics off of google. Since I am not home I can not get actual pics right now. I have never installed it yet. From what I understand talking to people that have them. They are brighter than the dual factory lights but not as bright as say 4 6" rounds. You also don't get the glare off the hood like the factory lights

These light bars have 4 PIAA 2100xt bulbs and were only available through the Hummer dealers. There is also a matching rear light bar the pop up on ebay every now and then. There is actually one rear on ebay right now for 350
