4x4 will not engage

I have a 2004 h2. I have replaced the motor on the transfer case as well as the switches in the dash. Darn thing still just blinks and will not engage. Does anyone know what other components are used to get the 4x4 to engage? Thanks for the help!!

Any error messages, like ABS? I wonder if it's a bad wheel speed (ABS) sensor

Try to shift TC manually( remove encoder motor and move shaft with pliers)in N. If it doesn't shift u got bad TC.

Also check your ABS, like alrock said, a bad abs sensor will prevent the case from shifting. Is your abs light on the dash? It will also happen if the ABS module is bad ($350 part with a core swap).

I don't think ABS has anything to do with it. I have 2rear disconnected and encoder motor shifts just fine on dash.

I took it to several garages as the engine and 4 x 4 lights kept coming on. Each visit was between 500 and 1,000.00 dollars. Within a few days the lights would come back on. Now the 4 wheel drive doesn't seem to engage at all.
