Air bag light recently came on during our last road trip. I dont have a code reader yet but I figured I would check under the seats just in case. Found a chafed wired(somehow got caught on a spring) that connects to one of the sensors under the passenger seat. I was going to tape it up real good but is this safe? I grabbed a part # off the harness but nothing comes up in any searches(1686488 rev1).

I'd tape it up and/or add some wire look to protect it. I used to have the light come on during wheeling and the dealer said it was a bad connector, though I never got an answer as to where or which connector.

It was a very small area so I ended up taping it up really well. Took it for a long drive and no more light. Im just glad I was able to find it myself.
