Hi! Johnny here. new owner of a 2nd hand 2006 Hummer H1 Alpha Wagon. I want to know some technical stuff about my new ride since my first rig was a truck. Care to share some tips for mods?

Welcome to H4O and if I'm not mistaken you got an H1 Alpha it being a 2006 model ?!!
And there's plenty of H1 owners here so don't hesitate to ask your questions, if you don't find a concrete answer after using the search bar.

Holy shnapple!! A newbie '06 H1 owner? Either you're a troll or a dude with alot of money and not a clue to what you just bought!!!
You gotta know you landed the Holy Grail of H1's--all other H1 owner's will bow to you.
ANY mod you make to that truck will only enhance its Bad-Ass-Ness unless you make the mistake of putting ANY sort of chrome on it or doing a gas engine swap.
What do you need to know? That model was the first and only year that was done as right as GM could do, Dirty-Max motor, Alpha interior, angled geared hubs, factory body lift, better cooling and I could go on and on.
Drool drool drool and jealosy jealousy jealousy....

BTW--welcome to the forums and please, please, please--don't be a troll!!! Zach seems to attract those.....

Hard to say it was the only one done right but I guess I am an AMGeneral purist and like the simplicity of the older trucks. Did GM have anything to do with the H1 Alpha besides marketing? It is of the general opinion of most H1 owners that GM f'd the H1 in the a.

Welcome Johnny -- 3Hummers is a great source of info, as is the HML for all your H1 needs. Hope you'll use it like it was supposed to me used ;-)

Like Ron I prefer the older, simpler trucks. I do most of the work on my trucks now and the less technology the better.
